Freshman year was definitely an experience to say the least. There was a ton of things to learn and adjust to, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I was grateful enough to have maintained a 4.0 GPA both semesters of my freshman year. It wasn’t easy, but I accomplished it thanks to God and amazing professors.
Freshman year was one for the books, I encourage incoming freshmen to cherish every moment of their first year of college because every year is going to bring different opportunities and experiences. I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and try new things, take risk, believe in yourself, and learn about yourself. I’ve met new people from various places across the nation, joined organizations, and networked with trained professionals.
Your freshman year will be different from anything you’ve ever experienced in high school. It’s hard for all, but even harder for some to become accustomed to. Remember your morals, values, responsibilities, and reasons for enrolling in college. Stay focused, strive for success, and allow God to do the rest!
Tips for upcoming Seniors:
1. Apply for as many scholarships as possible.
2. Be persistent and committed to excelling.
3. Maintain good academic standing.
4. Network with teachers to ensure letters of recommendation.
5. Plan ahead as much as possible, so that you won’t procrastinate.
6. Be confident that you’re capable of achieving your goals and success!
